Determined Faith

A man on his way home from work spotted a field and decided to stop and watch some Little League Baseball. He took a seat right behind the dugout and asked one of the players how things were going. With a smile the boy said, “We are losing 14-0.”

The man quickly responded, “Well, you don’t seem too upset about it.” To this the little guy said, “We haven’t batted yet.”

Enemy, you’ve had your at-bat. Wait’ll you get a load of mine, in Jesus’ Name.

    Hey Scott,

Glad to see you post again. I wanted to let you know that Michelle and I are going to St. Augustine this coming week to celebrate our 15th (Can you believe it!) anniversary. I just thought you would like to know that I think this one took. I regularly thank the Lord for you and pray that He will contiunue to use you.

Alan, you will never know how blessed I am to know this! One of the saddest memories in the pastorate is to recall the many that did not take. You and Michelle honored and humbled me by allowing me the privilege of marrying you. Yours is a sterling example of love as it is intended. May your next 15 be as joy-filled as the years I have been blessed to have with Sandy. We married above ourselves, wouldn’t you say?

      Thanks for writing, friend!
