About My Blog

Years ago, I heard the Lord say,

“I want you to encourage My Body, Scott. Let them know I care, that I hear their cries…and I want them to know My Love.”

I was lying in a hospital bed, paralyzed from the chest down (read My Story) as a steady stream of visitors and well-wishers lined the hallway outside my room, waiting their chance to encourage their fallen comrade but feeling strangely encouraged themselves when they sat by my bed.

I’ve never forgotten that mandate and have been using this blog as a platform to do just that since 2006.

I’m so glad you found me here. I hope you stay awhile and come back often as we consider these life-changing issues together:

  • Where is God when it hurts?
  • Is God mad at me?
  • Have I missed His plan?
  • Am I being punished, attacked…or is this somehow training for a greater purpose?
  • Is there grace for me?
  • Is there hope for me?
  • How can I overcome in this hardship?
  • How can I get my feelings to line up with my theology?
